After the success of the first edition, the Malatestiano della Libertà Festival did an encore, increasing the offer of debates and the turnout of the public. Promoted by Future Nation, Values and Freedom, the Crossroads with the collaboration of Confcommercio Cesena and the patronage of the Municipality of Cesena, the very popular event attracted hundreds of people to the great hall of the Malatestiana Library on Saturday and Sunday to drum beating debates which expressed the main theme of freedom in the various areas of social life in which it is expressed, economy, environment, education, communication. The donation to the Volley Club Cesena victim of the flood and the awarding of the literary competition also received great appreciation, combining culture and solidarity towards our community so deeply affected by the floods of May 2023.

The presence of Rai ennobled an event that was credited as unique for Cesena, a festival of ideas that allowed us to attract attention to our city by strengthening its brand. The Malatestiana Library was an ideal location and all the speakers from outside who did not know it said they were amazed by such beauty”.
“It was about a bipartisan festival without political labels – continue the presidents of the promoting associations – with representatives of all cultural and political areas who have developed close but always civil and loyal discussions, based first of all on mutual listening and the exchange of their respective positions. An added value for the cultural development of the city, to which we want to contribute. The confrontation between the mayoral candidates, with the packed auditorium and the public crowded into the screening room where they witnessed the event on the screen, was the seal of an event that underlined how freedom is the most important inalienable good at the foundation of every community, to be safeguarded in compliance with the rules, in all areas of human action, because when freedom is undermined and unfairly reduced, it is relegated to the level of unfree citizens, well-being is blocked, businesses become ensnared , coexistence atrophies. We were very pleased that even guests and mayoral candidates recognized the value of the Malatestiano Festival of Freedoman example of how private individuals can happily contribute to the free circulation of ideas, raising the cultural level of the city”.
