BUSTO ARSIZIO – In view of Thanksgiving Day, scheduled for June 24th on the occasion of the patron saint Saint John the Baptist, the municipal administration invites citizens and associations to send applications to the Olga Boni Award, dedicated to those who have made generosity their lifestylethinking more about others than about himself and without appearing.
Ready for applications
Will be taken into consideration: names of individuals or bodies and associations proposed by anyone who has had opportunity to learn about charitable activities, of different contents and forms, carried out without seeking visibility and with the intention of inspiring similar behaviour.
At this link is the application form. The award, established last year, is dedicated to Olga Boni, former Social Services councilor who passed away in 2019, a historic figure of reference in the world of volunteering and helping the needy, having led a life of service to the weakest and having volunteered in the most critical contexts, such as prison. Last June 24, the prize was awarded to a group of friends, who have accompanied and supported a blind person for years, and to Natalia Marrese, president of the CAV – Life Help Center.
