An Airc meeting in Ragusa to talk about science and love in medicine –

“Medicine between Science and Love – together to build happiness” is the theme of the meeting that will be held next Saturday, May 11th, at 5.30 pm in the Avis Ragusa Conference Room organized by Airc Ragusa.

The meeting starts from the reflection that Science in Medicine favors human relationships as an essential cornerstone of every treatment. The communication of any diagnosis transferred as a fraternal message full of affective empathy strengthens the ability to react to illnesses and improves the success of any treatment. The doctor himself can be the cure.

Dealing with difficult diseases such as tumors but also the difficulty in conceiving is very difficult, the possibility of success is always uncertain.

Science has shown that affective work-out, i.e. the psychological reaction to the unexpected event, is fundamental for the success of treatment. In reality it has been shown that our brain produces substances called endorphins, which improve both our body’s immune defenses but also our emotional well-being.

Overcoming an oncological pathology such as breast cancer, which has significant psychological barriers, or resolving the social inadequacy of infertility to become parents is an absolute achievement of happiness. Science can be at the service of human happiness.

The topic will be explored in depth by two experts such as Prof. Ettore Cittadini and Dr. Giuseppina Pavone.

Both have experienced an exciting professional career, highlighting how important the ability to react positively to treatment and realize love, trust, empathy is for any hope of success.

The evening will end with two songs for life performed by the very young Comisan tenor Gabriel Frisa and a ballet for life performed by the young Swing Dance students of the “Ragusa Dance School”
