For the second consecutive year, Cosma Vela Ancona reaches the playoff final for access to A1: the Dorics win game 2 in Turin against Aquatica and enter the final series which will begin on Sunday 19 May in Bergamo and continue on Sunday 26 in Senigallia, with a possible return to Bergamo on Sunday 2 June. Last year the Doric team only surrendered in game 3 in Genoa against Locatelli. In Turin the Cosmics achieve victory number 200 in the history of the first women’s team of Vela Ancona and it is a success that matures in the second and third half, after a balanced first partial and thanks to a break that leads coach Pace’s girls to reach the +4 at the start of the fourth half at 5-9, before suffering a partial comeback from the Turin team. In the end it’s a big celebration: “It was a match that got a little complicated at the end – comments Milko Pace – after we were up by 4, partly through our own fault, partly due to a couple of whistles which I didn’t quite understand. A difficult final but these are the playoffs. In the two games we showed that we deserved this final that we wanted and which we are reaching for the second year in a row. Congratulations to the girls and a round of applause to our large audience Turin”.
