The exhibition opens the “Social suburbs” section with an event dedicated to prisoners and migrants

On 8 May, at the Matera prison, a meeting with Marilù Ardillo will take place as part of the Amabili Confini exhibition. The event will explore themes of inclusion and communication through literature.

In a press release issued by Amabili Confini, a new appointment of the event was announced, which will be held on Wednesday 8 May in the prison of Matera, starting at 9:00. This year, the event will see the participation of Marilù Ardillo, communications manager of the Vincenzo Casillo Foundation and author of the book “Parlami Inside”.

This year’s edition of Amabili Confini introduces the “Social Peripheries” section, aimed at opening a dialogue with the marginal realities of society, such as those of prisoners and migrants. The initiative aims to give voice to these communities through literature, offering them a platform to express their experiences and contribute culturally.

Ardillo’s book, “Talk to me inside”, collects letters sent by ordinary people to unknown prisoners and has already stood out for its ability to arouse deep emotions, so much so that it has been presented in numerous penitentiary institutions. The presentation will see the participation of students from the “I. Morra” and “Loperfido-Olivetti” of Matera.

Marilù Ardillo, born in 1980 and graduated in Communication Sciences at the University of Perugia, has long experience as a copywriter and editor. She is currently involved in social communication projects and cultural initiatives.

For more information on the complete program of the event, you can consult the Amabili Confini website.
