This is how the Perugian institute explains the meaning of the initiative which in recent days has seen the school’s auditorium transformed into an in-person laboratory dedicated to the “Robotics at Primary School” course conducted by the head teacher Alfonso D’Ambrosio, well-known nationally renowned expert in the field of Coding and Educational Robotics. The training initiative offered teachers an extraordinary opportunity to embrace teaching innovation, representing a dynamic learning space enriched by a practical and engaging experience that allowed participants to explore and experiment with the potential of robotic technology such as Lego Spike, Robot Photon Logo Essential and Lego Education, to name a few.

During the workshop, the importance of STEM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) for the Istituto Comprensivo Perugia 12 was unequivocally highlighted and «the desire to promote an integrated and progressive educational approach with the aim of establish a vertical curriculum of Coding and Robotics. This curriculum, which will be implemented from nursery school to lower secondary school and which aims to develop computational skills, will allow the stimulation of creative minds capable of shaping the world of tomorrow, combining “ingenuity” and knowledge together.”
