ANCONA – The police forces alongside the population in Piazza IV Novembre in the event of inauguration of the State Police Legality Village. The initiative, strongly supported by the Head of Police, expresses the highest mission of the Police, that of alwaysbeingthere , at the service of citizens, among citizens. Moreover, even today the State Police wanted to celebrate the 172nd anniversary of its foundationon the occasion of Feast of the Patron Saint San Ciriaco, to be close to the Ancona community, in the spirit that summarizes the mission of the State Police. The aim of the initiative is let knowto all citizens, but especially the very young, through dialogue with those who preside over the territory every day and do their utmost for the safety of the community, thethe work that the women and men who wear the uniform do. The Prefect of the Order and the highest civil and military officials of the Doric capital were also present at the event: everyone in the square to share an important moment of proximity and closeness of the State Police on the occasion of such a significant day for the Doric capital.
At the event there were several stands of the various specialties of the State Police and beyond. The UPGSP policemen. from Ancona with the beautiful Alfa Romeo Tonale with State Police livery; the Railway Police illustrated to citizens the activity that is carried out daily and the rules of conduct to adopt when preparing to take the “friend train” that takes us to all the places we want The Postal Police instead, he illustrated to adults and children the risks associated with surfing the web and the Border Police showed citizens what security features must be present in the passport to verify its authenticity.
At the Police the task of explaining the various activities carried out in the area, with a special stand with specialized personnel from the Ancona Traffic Police Section available to citizens to answer questions and queries regarding the specialist activities carried out, furthermore there was display of vehicles and equipment such as those relating to combating drunk driving and measuring the speed of vehicles. Also present was the Camper Azzurro, in which citizens were involved in training sessions, with the possibility of experiencing the visual distortion caused by the state of alcoholic alteration, wearing special glasses and walking on a carpet that simulates a road route.
Great interest in Scientific Police with the specialized operators of the Interregional Cabinet of Scientific Police for the Marche and Abruzzo of Ancona, who set up a crime scene on site, they illustrated the typical technical activities they carry out in operational reality, such as the collection and custody of the finds , the highlighting of latent papillary prints with fingerprint powders, the study of bloodstains, and how useful it can be for identifying the perpetrator of the crime as well as for reconstructing the dynamics of the criminal event. For the same purpose, the “laboratory policemen”, however, described the cutting-edge analytical methodologies in the field of forensic science that are applied to examine the finds from a biological, chemical, ballistic and IT perspective.
The dog handlers with the four-legged policemen specialized in the search for narcotic substances who feasted on caresses in the square, approaching the numerous curious citizens present there and showed the main techniques for searching for narcotic substances through a demonstration. The health personnel of the State Police extended the health promotion activity to the population with the possibility of measuring blood pressure using a sphygmomanometer and glycemic measurement with a dipstick and glucometer and the elementary BLS First Aid maneuvers were illustrated on a special mannequin, with the help of the ambu bag for ventilation, the unblocking maneuvers are also shown, in particular the interscapular pat technique and the Heimlich maneuver, explaining to the little ones the importance of calling for help in case of danger. Furthermore, in collaboration with the Traffic Police, the children were shown the correct behavior to follow when crossing pedestrians or riding bicycles.
For the first time in Ancona, there was also one Team of the Mounted Department of the State Police. This is one of the specialties within the Office of General Prevention and Public Aid at the Police Headquarters. And last but not least, there was the presence of Lamborghini URUS of the State Police mainly used for emergency transport, such as the urgent transport of organic material to hospital facilities located throughout Italy. The latter attracted the attention of the numerous large and small citizens who crowded the square for the event.
