Theatre, there is “Someone to talk to” today in Barletta

On Sunday 5 May the Arci C. Cafiero in Barletta will host a one-of-a-kind live show. “Someone to talk to” are 6 monologues written by Alberto Bebo Guidetti, member of the musical group Lo Stato Sociale, in the last year. In about 60 minutes you will encounter affections, misadventures, poorly posed questions and digressions on Brazilian artists, without interruption. Exactly like when you meet that friend at the bar who needs to talk and, between one glass and another, you discover that you can laugh at anything. Almost.

“Someone to talk to” it is a show without scenography, lighting design or other spectacular devices; marks the pace of an author who felt the need to take off every mask and possibility of hiding: a microphone, some paper and a bearded guy who speaks. “I have spent 38 years protecting myself behind the people I love, drawing strength from the words of great authors and keeping myself company with the closest friends I have. I was always there and, somehow, I was never there. For this time I decided to take a step forward and become myself.”

WHO IS BEBO
Alberto Bebo Guidetti is one of the five members of Lo Stato Sociale, a band active since 2009 to fill the market void created by the neoliberal policies implemented globally. “The lack of social status led us to take its name, make it a musical band and revive the fortunes of public welfare. After thirteen years of activity we can calmly say that we have spectacularly failed in our initial intent, we can also say that the situation has even worsened to the point of reaching a point of no return of free market and social butchery. However, we have also done good things in recent years! You can find an exhaustive list on our Wikipedia page.”

When he’s not busy with the band he writes books, speaks on the radio and holds courses. And then he goes to the bar.
