FLORENCE – A totally Florentine spiker for The Bison who ensures the performance of the twenty-year-old Stella Nervinifresh from the fourth season of the senior national team but above all a true Florentine.
Nervini, who comes from his first season at a high level in A1 with Volleyball Bergamo 1991 – with 192 points scored, of which 128 (10 on average per game) in the second round – is one of the potentially most interesting teams at Italian level: at not even 21 years old they have already won a silver at the Under 18 World Championships, a gold at the World Championships Under 20 and a silver at the Under 21 World Championships – as well as a Challenge Cup with Chieri -, and her continuous growth is there for all to see, so much so that she was included by coach Velasco in the thirty players called up for the VNL 2024.
After her commitments with the Italian national team, Stella Nervini will join the Il Bisonte Firenze group, where she will wear the number 10 shirt, joining Emma Cagnin in the spikers department and reuniting with former teammates such as Butigan (in Bergamo), Cagnin herself, Ribechi and Acciarri (between youth national teams and Club Italia).
“Returning to play in Florence has always been one of my goals, so when this possibility was presented to me I had no doubts that it was the right choice – underlines Nervini -. I am sure that Il Bisonte is the best place to continue growing and gaining experience in the top category.
