50-year-old arrested in Guidonia for violation of precautionary measures against his ex-partner

(AGR) The State Police carried out a decisive intervention in Guidonia Montecelio, arresting a fifty-year-old individual originally from Tivoli. The man was caught in the act of violating serious precautionary measures, including the ban on approaching his ex-partner and the ban on staying in the Municipality of Guidonia.

The agents of the Tivoli-Guidonia police station, supported by colleagues from the San Basilio police station, conducted the operation that led to the arrest of the fifty-year-old. The violation of the precautionary measures was detected flagrantly, while the man resisted the officers, resulting in a state of psychophysical alteration.

The fifty-year-old, already known to the police for crimes against property and against the person, had previously been banned from approaching the places frequented by his ex-partner, as well as his home and the school attended by his children. However, despite this provision, the physical attacks and death threats against the woman persisted, so much so that she had started a course at an Anti-Violence Centre.

The dangerousness of the subject further emerges from the fact that it is not the first time he has found himself involved in similar persecutory conduct. Already in the past, he had demonstrated a similar modus operandi towards a previous partner.

Despite a warning previously issued to him by the Police Commissioner of Rome, the fifty-year-old continued to violate the provisions imposed, demonstrating a dangerous determination in prosecuting his ex-partner.

The arrest took place at the request of the local Public Prosecutor’s Office and was validated by the Judge for Preliminary Investigations of the Court of Tivoli.

This latest violation of precautionary measures underlines the importance of timely intervention by the competent authorities to combat and prevent gender violence, ensuring protection and safety for victims.
