This was reported by the candidate for mayor of the centre-right, Sardinian and civic coalition, Marco Teddeaccording to which the creation of the metropolitan city of Cagliari did not correspond to equal opportunities for Sassari which was classified as the “Sassari metropolitan network”, of which Alghero is an integral and important part. But while for Cagliari and its territory the operation was implemented with the allocation of large economic resources, in Sassari very limited resources were allocated.
«Based on the regulatory principle already adopted during the establishment phase of the Metropolitan City of Cagliari and the Metropolitan Network of Sassari, pending the formal establishment of the Metropolitan City of Sassari, each allocation for the metropolitan city of Cagliari must correspond to an equal allocation for the Sassari metro network, our territory should have received much more funding for infrastructure. It is necessary to claim that money as soon as possible and activate the many initiatives planned, with extraordinary repercussions on the entire territory of the north of the island”, declares Marco Tedde.
