PESARO – It’s time for the program. The centre-right candidate Marco Lanzi met citizens and supporters at the Charlie Hotel and immediately made things clear: «I am going around the neighborhoods and I’m finding a lot of consensus. We realize that citizens have never really been listened to, we are convinced that we can win the elections.”
Then the program: «Tourism and culture they will be two key themes, priorities for the government program. It’s a paradox to talk about culture in the capital year, but what will remain after this 2024? Just a biosphere paid 650 thousand euros that we won’t know where to put. We mean culture at 360° because it means experiencing the territory from a food and wine point of view and interacting with Fano, Urbino and all the centers of the province.”
A nod to tourism. «If we type tourist cities into Google, Pesaro doesn’t exist. The city experiences only 3 months a year of tourism, but we want to have one Tourist Pesaro 12 months a year. Let’s start with mosaics of the Cathedral, unique in the world: there would be a queue to see them”.
As for public works and works. «We don’t want to do like the old administration which without planning began works like the Palas and the costs rose from 3 to 9 million euros with huge delays. There are works announced and not completed. We want to plan and finish the work we intend to do, otherwise it will just be a waste of time and public resources.”
