Stroppa: “Cremonese will find a fierce Parma”

CREMONA – Parma has already been testing a Cremonese team in Serie A who want to understand where they are in the race towards the top flight. The last away match of the regular season is exciting Giovanni Stroppa.

“I have to pay many compliments to Parma who concluded an extraordinary championship, played in the lead from start to finish. Pecchia, the club and the players started from afar to become the strongest”.

Nobody expects a decline from Parma.

“It’s the opposite – admits Stroppa – because usually the objectives already achieved lighten your head and allow you to express yourself at your best. I don’t expect a simple race in all aspects, especially the mental one”.

Stroppa remains vague about the formation.

“Ravanelli will be missing and with him Lochoshvili. Marrone could play, but Sernicola and Ghiglione could also be included in the three. For the rest, the choices are the same.”

Lately both Sernicola and Zanimacchia appear subdued.

“You mentioned the two of them and I admit that they have lost their luster, but I generalize. We have an important path to recovery and the expenditure of physical and mental energy has made itself felt. Especially on a mental level. Someone is paying for it, that’s why I talked about management strength in these last three finals. The first one went well, then we’ll see.”

Meanwhile, the victory against Pisa was good medicine.

“It served like hotcakes and came at the end of a high-level performance. I watched the match again and I congratulate those who hadn’t played for a long time, those who entered and those who reacted to what could have been a difficult period in terms of results. I repeat in terms of results. The victory gave us the opportunity to clear up some shadows and must give us energy to face a new path. I was talking about three finals, one went well, two are missing to have an advantageous position playoffs”.

At this point, are you still aiming for third place or are you managing your strength to maintain fourth?

“I don’t want to trigger further disappointments so I’ll just say that our objective must be motivational. Let’s try to win as much as possible and then we’ll do the calculations at the end. We’ll see from which position we start in the playoffs, let’s not look at the path of the others.”
