Operation ‘bad boys’: Domenico Franzè acquitted

TURIN – The Court of Appeal confirms the acquittal pronounced by the Court of Alessandria against Domenico Franzè, 40, Alessandria (defended by lawyers Walter Franzé and Giancarlo Triggiani). After seven years an ordeal ends, the lawyers explain.

A 2016 survey

The investigation began in 2016 in the area between Novi Ligure and Serravalle Scrivia as a development of another investigation that led four Calabrians to prison. At the end of the activity, the investigating judge signed the orders: eight in prison, seven under house arrest. Various crimes: from extortion to arson, from false ideology to private violence.

According to the accusations, he was at the center of certain events Fioramante Caruso, 42 years old, Serravalle Scrivia. And profiles of responsibility had emerged against other people who frequented him, including Franzè.

The Alessandria prosecutor’s office had identified mafia-like behavior for some of the people who ended up in trouble without resulting in any connection with that organized crime.

Violence, threats and intimidation were aimed at creating a climate of terror and control of the territory.

But Domenico Franzè has nothing to do with that story. This was established first by the Court of Alessandria, and yesterday by the Court of Appeal of Turin.
