TERMOLI. A slower tourism, comfortable in rhythms and with the curiosity to discover new places. This is Molise’s business card at the “Sottocosta” boat show in Pescara, inaugurated yesterday and which sees the participation of the Molise Autonomous Tourist and Tourism Company (Aast), present with a space for the promotion of nautical tourism and not only.

Yesterday afternoon, the conference with the presentation of the results of the use of the “Framesport” App for the management of tourist ports by AFA Systems. Remo Di Giandomenico was present at the meeting. The Application created by Aast as part of the European “Framesport” project was developed by the Afa System company and then applied in the management of the “Marina di San Pietro” tourist port in Termoli. Ribbon cutting yesterday morning at the Marina di Pescara tourist port where until Sunday the spotlight will be on boating, respect for the sea and the blue economy thanks to the tenth edition of “Sottocosta”, the Middle Adriatic Boat Show. The event, promoted by the Chieti Pescara Chamber of Commerce and the Marina di Pescara with the technical collaboration of Assonautica, enjoys the patronage of Confindustria Nautica, Enit, Assonat, Assonautica Italiana, the Central Adriatic Sea Port System Authority and the Regional Council of Abruzzo. For three days, sector enthusiasts can count on a large exhibition area, indoors, outdoors and at sea, where they can see and try out the latest innovations in terms of boats and vessels, marine engines, electronics, nautical accessories, floating docks, products nautical, sport fishing, water sports, diving, nautical design, beach fashion and much more.

Just as Sottocosta will allow you to participate in numerous in-depth moments and carry out various activities, for adults, children, beginners and experts. Present at the ribbon cutting, and then bringing their greetings inside the PalaBecci, were, among others: the president of the Chieti Pescara Chamber of Commerce, Gennaro Strever, the president of the Marina, Gianni Taucci, the president of Assonautica Pescara Chieti, Francesco Di Filippo, the president of Assonautica Italiana, Giovanni Acampora, the president of the regional council, Lorenzo Sospiri, the parliamentarian Guerino Testa and the mayor of Pescara Carlo Masci. At the opening of the proceedings, there was also the contribution of the Minister for Maritime Policies Nello Musumeci who underlined in a video message: «I send my personal satisfaction and that of the Government for this tenth edition of the Middle Adriatic Boat Show. Sottocosta is now an event that has acquired significant quality due to the commitment made by those who organize it and above all because boating has become the model supply chain of our blue economy”. Today the meetings in the Pavilion will resume at 9.30 with the conference promoted with the Order of Journalists of Abruzzo entitled “Ethics for environmental awareness in the journalistic profession. The Pescasseroli Charter”. At 3.30 pm there will be space for “Sport fishing: sport, environment, teaching and community” organized by Fipsas Italia. At 4pm the spotlight will be on inclusion with “Beyond the horizon, beyond the limits. Inclusion and affirmation through sailing for the disabled and the sea for all”, the meeting dedicated to the project promoted by Assonautica and the Di Nautica association which will see on stage the “Sbandati helmsmen” and Alessandro Gaoso of the Homerus project, precursor in Italy of the inclusive sailing.

From 5.30pm, new appointment with the Salon of Ideas and Innovation in the nautical sector which will see the awarding of important awards: the “Lifetime Achievement Award” awarded to Alessandro Vismara, naval architect and founder of AV Yachting, the “Woman of the Sea” award awarded to Rosalba Giugni, president of Marevivo Onlus, and the “International Nautical Design Award”, aimed at students and professionals and now in its seventh edition. At 7pm, Sottocosta’s special guest will be Andrea Mura, solo navigator and sailor, winner of the Vuitton Cup and just returned from the Global Solo Challenge, who will be the guest of a meeting organized by the Italian Sailing Federation. Saturday will end with Happy birthday Sottocosta, the party for the tenth anniversary of the Middle Adriatic Boat Show, with a DJ set, cutting of the cake and celebratory toast. Entrance to the event is free.
