VILLAMARZANA (Rovigo) – The mayor Daniel Menon has accompanied Elena Matteotti in visit Villamarzana (Rovigo).
“From the joint visit, where his grandfather was Mayor for two years and councilor first of the minority and then of the majority, at the visit to the war memorial, and around our small town, I saw her excited” commented Daniele Menon.
Elena Matteotti, after the visit to Rovigo for the celebrations of April 25th, continued the tour in the footsteps of the famous politician and icon of Polesine and Italy.
Giacomo Matteotti’s granddaughter had the opportunity to see the places where the former mayor left an indelible mark 100 years ago. Elena Matteotti also visited the War Memorial where 43 people, 20 years after the killing of his grandfather, were killed for freedom and against tyranny.
“For me it was a unique experience to be able to speak informally with such an important and sensitive person – concluded Daniele Menon – who could teach us so much with his testimony”.
