Financial Police operation

Three arrests, 3.3 kilos of cocaine and 88 thousand euros seized. It is the budget ofanti-drug operation scored by Trento Financial Police. During an illegal trafficking control service, near the neighborhood Saint Joseph, a Fiamme Gialle patrol focused its attention on a 30-year-old Tunisian who, shortly afterwards, passed a bag to the driver of a car. The military therefore decided to intervene, but only managed to block the motorist. During the check it was discovered that there were 58 thousand euros in cash in the bag. Realizing that they had interrupted a money-narcotics exchange, the soldiers, making use of the nose of the dog Aron, combed through the car, discovering a false bottom in the cavity of the central front spar, where 3 blocks of cocaine were hidden, for a total weight of 3.3 kilos, and another 30 thousand euros in cash.
The driver, a 23-year-old Albanian resident in the province of Milan, was handcuffed. However, the financiers managed to reconstruct the traffic, which is why the investigating judge of Trento, at the request of the prosecutor’s office, issued a precautionary custody order for the Tunisian who had managed to escape and was later tracked down in his home which he shared with a another 26-year-old for whom a further precautionary custody order in prison issued by the Court of Trento was pending, also for drugs. According to the financiers, the seized drugs, once ‘cut’, would have been transformed into 15 thousand doses worth 1.5 million euros.
