The regional Civil Protection issued two yellow weather alert messages during the day for hydrogeological and hydrogeological risk for storms valid between 2 and 3 May 2024. On 2 May the alert, valid from 2pm to 8pm throughout the regional territory with the exclusion of Salento, was linked to the forecast of “isolated to scattered rainfall, even in the form of showers or thunderstorms, over central-northern Puglia, with weak cumulative quantities, up to punctually moderate in central Puglia”.
The alert for today, May 3, valid throughout the region from 8 am to 8 pm, refers to the forecast of “isolated to scattered rainfall, including showers or thunderstorms, with cumulative quantities up to moderate on time”. Rain is expected in Bitonto, especially after lunch and in the first part of the afternoon. Temperatures between 10 and 18°.
The Municipal Operations Center (COC) is called upon to guarantee the monitoring of weather conditions at a local level and emergency intervention in case of need (operational attention phase).
