With the comma acting as a conjunction.” – declares Peppe Cassì, mayor of Ragusa – “Because beyond any deserved praise for the cultural value of this event, unanimously recognized everywhere, At full volume it has become a source of pride for us Ragusans. I think of the many volunteer girls and boys who dedicate all their energy for 4 days to ensure that everything goes perfectly; I think of the rush of the public to fill the squares, to take places or invent new ones, crouching on steps or leaning on pillars; I think of the welcome given to writers, the desire to make them feel at home, the pleasure of hearing their words against the backdrop of the beauties we know so well. I am a fan and for this reason, like every Ragusan, I can’t and can’t wait for it At full volume. We can’t wait to celebrate the value of learning more, of listening, of understanding. Values which, in today’s ultra-fast world, are necessities.”
