After the brace obtained in the derby against Caronno, Marrone and her teammates forced league leaders Bollate to a draw in Ospiate (11-7 and 0-6), inflicting the first defeat of the season on one of the great contenders for the season’s title. On Saturday, however, the Inox Team obtained two other important victories – 8-3 and 7-0 – on the pitch of Castelfranco Veneto, which last season had forced president Rotondo’s girls to more than one stop.

“We are still at the beginning of the season, so it is still early to make assessments or anything else, but it is undeniable that we are very happy with the performance of the team and above all with the work that is carried out during the week” comments Massimo Rotondo, president of Inox Team Saronno. “We faced two super teams like Caronno and Bollate, obtaining three important victories in terms of morale and standings, also from an Italian Cup perspective. The two matches played against the Thunders also went very well, as they have always been an opponent capable of putting us in difficulty. The path taken, thanks to the excellent work of manager Cirimele and his technical staff, is the right one. We just have to continue on this path.”

The next scheduled matches are in Collecchio, Wednesday 1st May at 4pm, and on Saturday 4th in Forlì against the reigning champions Italposa.

“Two other particularly tough series await us. Collecchio, a quality team, will want to get back up in the standings after a particularly difficult start while Forlì is the reigning champion team against whom we have always had great duels and games decided on the last pitch. As always, it will be particularly stimulating to face it.”
