“At 6pm Tuesday 30 AprilRadio Corriere dell’Umbria, the new radio station of the Corriere Group, has begun broadcasting on the national DAB frequency. He will give news of it, Friday 3 May on the front page, the same Umbrian newspaper. “At the moment – explains the director of the Corriere Group newspapers, Sergio Casagrande – the broadcasts are limited to the Umbria region and surrounding areas, but our frequencies can cover the entire national territory and are exclusively musical broadcasts because the programming is still experimental, but soon music will also be combined with information. The project is to disseminate, together with the news, debates, interviews, podcasts, columns and much more but at the moment we are still in the organization phase”.

The radio is part of the relaunch plan that the Corriere Group has been launching for over a year and has already allowed the reopening, in the territories reached by the Corriere newspapers, of seven editorial offices of correspondence alongside the headquarters in Perugia. Now the Corriere Group includes: three paper newspapers (Corriere dell’Umbria, Corriere di Arezzo and Corriere di Siena); four online newspapers that offer information that clearly differs from that presented on newsstands (www.corrieredellumbria.it, www.corrierediarezzo.it, www.corrieredisiena.it, www.corrieredimaremma.it); four supplements (iM iMotori del Corriere, iV iViaggi del Corriere, vB via Bacco and CorriereMag). And, now, also a radio station.

Added to all this, for Umbria, is a special Monday issue which includes a rich specific insert dedicated to Sport; a periodic supplement on “The great stories of Umbria”; and, for the entire Group, a long series of inserts and special initiatives.
