The Centro Oratori Bresciani foundation, in collaboration with the parishes and oratories of the city of Brescia and with the support of the Department of Educational Policies, Equal Opportunities, Youth Policies and Social Sustainability of the Municipality of Brescia, also renews for 2024 the project «Typ. Everyone In Presence»already promoted starting in post-pandemic summer 2020 and renewed from year to year until the 2023 edition. The project is aimed at to adolescents aged between 14 and 18 who live the city and aims to support prevention and accompanying actions, which take the form of opening up spaces and creation of aggregation, discussion and training proposals dedicated to this age group.
The project
In concrete terms, thanks to the financial contribution of the Lodge, around twenty oratories from the parishes of Brescia give young people the opportunity to organize and implement various types of activities: from the course to the intervention of the expert up to the volleyball or football tournament and watching a film or concert together. «The intent to propose a new edition of Tip arises from the awareness of the quality of what has been achieved – explains the president of Centro Oratori Bresciani, Giovanni Milesi – and from the encouragement on the part of the teenagers themselves to continue what has already been undertaken. Furthermore, the Centro Oratori Bresciani, as a foundation that deals with the accompaniment of young people through the service to the oratories of the Diocese of Brescia, is fully aware that what has already been experimented and implemented in recent years needs not to be lost so that the actions implemented being in the past can continue to prove effective educational devices in the present”.
The TIP project intends to cross-reference projects «Saturdays in the city» And «Brescia City of Youth» promoted by the Municipality of Brescia in a context of street educational entertainment.
«From the beginning of the mandate there has been a lot of harmony between the work of the Bresciani Orators Center and the youth policies that we are carrying out as an Administration – observes the councilor for Youth Policies, Anna Frattini -. Tip aims to strengthen a widespread sense of responsibility: the money that as a local authority we allocate to the speakers as part of the project ends up in activities that are chosen directly by the children, who in this way are given the opportunity to take responsibility”.
