ANCONA – With the residual hope of being able to regain the fourth position at the last minute to access the playoffs, Vela Ancona faces the last match of the regular season playing on Saturday at 3pm in Anzio. For coach Marco Risso’s Dorians it will be mandatory to win and hope for Lazio to fall, playing at home against Ischia, mathematically out of the playoffs, in order to overtake the Biancoceleste team at the last minute. For the Dorians it was another troubled week, in the search for a swimming pool where they could carry out regular training, given that the Passetto one which hosts the Ancona team’s matches and training sessions has been closed since mid-February. The team was also among the top three in the standings during the season, but then suffered an inevitable drop in performance certainly due to the very difficult conditions in which they found themselves preparing for the entire second half of the season. «Incredibly, we are still in the running for the playoffs after an entire second half without a swimming pool – comments coach Marco Risso, who will return to the bench at Anzio after his disqualification –.
