At the Manlio Rossi Doria Institute in Avellino from 10 to 12 May the exhibition “The perfection of imperfection” by Dorotea Virtuoso, who has always been involved in issues such as gender violence.
The event, which will take place at the HoReCa Atelier in via Filippo Visconti, will be an opportunity to admire the works of the graphic web artist from Campania who, starting from 2023, will donate part of the proceeds from the sale of his paintings to charity: the installation is by Tina Sprintoso.
There have been numerous personal exhibitions by Dorotea Virtuoso, such as the one at the deconsecrated church of San Severo al Pendino, with a presence of 5 thousand people, and at the Palazzo delle Arti in Naples from 1 to 16 August 2017. Other important personal exhibitions took place at the “House of culture and youth” in Pianura (Na) and, in Avellino, at the “F. De Sanctis” in 2017 and at the Carlo Gesualdo theatre.
His works highlight the faces of women of all ages and backgrounds, with their insecurities and their purest and most authentic feelings such as the famous work “Il Bacio” which, from February 2021, can be admired in an artistic installation in the small square of Via Trieste e Trento in Avellino and which in 2015 also won the first prize ‘Saint Valentine’.
