Hunting in Umbria, hunting calendar ’24-’25: there is an agreement

Hunting calendar 2024-2025 in Umbria, there was unanimous agreement during the session of the hunting fauna council which took place on Thursday in Perugia. The Region makes this known: opening on Sunday 15 September and pre-opening on 1 September. Unique green light throughout the entire territory for wild boar hunting on 20 October. There is pre-adoption in the council.

What is expected

The Region informs that «a pre-opening day is scheduled for Sunday 1st September for wild doves, exclusively from ambush, with the use of the specific web application to suspend hunting activity upon reaching the pre-established game bag for the Umbria Region, while it is Ispra, the Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research, was asked for an opinion on the possibility of extending the pre-opening to the cancellation. It is also the department’s intention to request an opinion on the possibility of including the hooded crow and the magpie in the pre-opening phase.” General closure scheduled for January 30, 2025, as required by national law. As regards wild boar hunting, the stop is set for January 19th.
