Bad weather does not stop the 20th edition of the Gianfranco Macchetti Memorial which on the third and final day on Wednesday saw Piacenza triumph, managing to prevail on penalties against Bologna (1-1 in regulation time). The organization on the Cementirossi field in Pontedellolio was perfect, both on 25 and 28 April, and also on the final day of 1 May. In the semi-finals Piacenza-Mantova finished 1-1, with Piace progressing to penalties, on the other hand Bologna-Cremonese 3-1. Red and white who triumphed with a good group of 2011 players, while Juventus failed to qualify, however the level with Mantua and Bologna was very high. Best goalkeeper was awarded to Barocelli of Piacenza, best defender Cuomo of Bologna, best midfielder Salvader of Cremonese, best player Bottaro of Mantova, best striker Di Sillo of Bologna. Mayor Chiesa was also present to reward the players.
