A targeted operation by the Carabinieri in the province of Agrigento has given excellent results in combating illegality and crime. The extraordinary control service saw the deployment of 36 soldiers, supported by 2 canine units, who patrolled the most sensitive areas of Agrigento, Porto Empedocle and Siculiana.
Control of the territory and results
The checks, concentrated on road traffic and public establishments, gave rise to significant results. 8 people, aged between 18 and 32, were reported to the Prefecture for possession of narcotic substances. Approximately 10 grams of hashish and cocaine were seized, and administrative fines totaling approximately 4,600 euros were imposed.
Focus on predatory crimes and alcohol
Particular attention was paid to combating illegal parking, predatory crimes and drug dealing. Furthermore, two people were fined for driving under the influence and two business owners were fined for violating the rules on the supply of alcoholic beverages to minors.

Thanks to the widespread presence in the area and the targeted action, it was possible to obtain important results for the safety of the community.
