Modica becomes a Civil Service Authority

“The Municipality of Modica has obtained registration in the Register of Universal Civil Service Bodies, demonstrating that it is among the very few Sicilian municipalities to possess all the essential requirements to be part of this list. A round of applause to the Municipal Administration and in particular to the Councilor for Educational and Youth Policies who was able to seize this opportunity which for a year will allow hundreds of young people in our area to be able to try this highly educational experience”.

Thus the Honorable Ignazio Abbate as soon as he learned the news that starting today the Municipality of Modica will be able to launch various civil service projects in full autonomy which will range from citizen services to social services, from socio-health to socio-educational, cultural ones , promotion of the territory and civil protection. “Modica – continues the Honorable Abbate – is one of only 10 municipalities out of 390 with the qualification of Owner Body (it can create projects independently without having to make references to other Bodies) in all of Sicily to become a universal civil service body. Indeed the only one between the provinces of Ragusa and Syracuse. So we can easily speak of an extraordinary result, achieved thanks to the work of the Municipal Administration and Councilor Facello who has been busy with the offices for months to achieve this objective. Now there will be space for the various bodies interested in becoming accredited with the Municipality and thus actively participating in the National Civil Service.

The Diocese of Noto has already asked to participate and soon others will do so until October, the maximum limit for accreditation with the Municipality of Modica. The universal civil service represents an important opportunity for training and personal and professional growth for young people, who are an indispensable and vital resource for the cultural, social and economic progress of the country”.
