Ferrara Cameristica, the series of concerts of the Ferrara Conservatory organized in agreement with the Rovigo Conservatory, ends on Saturday at 3.30 pm at the Ridotto of the Teatro Comunale with a concert dedicated to the Russian repertoire between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries from Shostakovich to Prokofiev.

At the opening, the famous ‘Cinque Pezzi’ will be presented, refined and expressive melodies of popular taste, by Shostakovich. Followed by the much larger ‘Sonata op. 56’ for two violins by Prokofiev, divided into four movements: a Slavic melody in the first, a music of iron and steel in the second, a dreamy interlude with muted ad libitum and a final Russian dance. Closing, going back in time, is the brilliant ‘Quintet for winds and piano’ by Rimsky-Korsakov.

The protagonists are the students of the Conservatories of Rovigo and Ferrara: Martina Carotta, Matilde Chieregato on violins, Nil Magali Lopez on piano, Paolo Falcioni and Jacopo Pisani on the violin (in the picture), Camilla Masin on flute, Enrico Moretti on clarinet, Christian Scalaprice on horn, Antonia Tessari on bassoon and Marina Miani piano.

Reservation not necessary, information at the Teatro Comunale ticket office or on 0532 202675.
