Superga 75, the Torino shirt that recalls Superga

Fascinating and special. With a vintage imprint that brings back football from times gone by. It is the Superga 75, the celebratory shirt unveiled this morning, two days after the 75th anniversary of the disappearance of Grande Torino in the Superga tragedy. Tomorrow evening, the Granata players will wear it in the Serie A match against Bologna.

limited edition

With strong garnet hues, it is a shirt inspired by the one worn by the Invincibles: Joma, Torino’s technical partner, has created a product completely made in Italy. It is made of 95% cotton, it is polo style with buttons and a white collar that recall the sleeve cuffs. In the lower part there will be the “Limited Edition” transfer which guarantees its authenticity through the progressive numbering from 1 to 750. On the back of the neck there will be the writing “Superga 75” with the words “Only fate won them” created with direct embroidery. Torino’s shirt sponsors will be in the shade on the shirt: in fact, compared to the white that distinguishes the 2023-2024 home kit, the partners present on the shirt will be displayed in tone-on-tone garnet with a matte effect transfer. The Superga 75 shirt will be accompanied by an elegant eco-sustainable box, produced in Italy, which will reflect the style and writing of the uniform. From this morning, the shirts will be available for purchase through the online pre-order mode on Torinofcstore.it and will subsequently be available in physical stores, subject to early sell-out.

emotions

“We are honored and excited – reflects Alessandro Annibale, commercial director of Joma Italia, Torino’s technical partner for five seasons -: it is a shirt full of details, in which all the details are taken care of: it is a prestigious product, we have made the maximum effort in total synergy with the club. It is a 95% cotton shirt to give it a vintage look, so as to make it as similar as possible to the one worn by Grande Torino. To avoid being too anachronistic, we have introduced a small synthetic product component so that it is at least elastic.” An emotion shared by the engineer Massimo Nalli, president of Suzuki Italia, sponsor of Torino for eleven years. “Being a sponsor of Toro is different – comments Massimo Nalli -, because Toro has a history that is tragically unique. An unrepeatable passion is based on this story. Usually the sponsor focuses on visibility, this time, with great honor, all the Toro sponsors took a side step on visibility.”
