An inherited resolution that can still be modified is that relating to the merger of Comprehensive Institutes 1 and 7 of Pescara. The President of the Regional Council Lorenzo Sospiri invites the new Regional Councilor Santangelo to consider the step backwards.
An official request for revision with respect to a plan, that of school sizing of last January 3rd, which the new council in the Region, which took office after the elections of last March 11th, can make. Two important principals are at stake, that of Via Einaudi and that of Via Virgilio Marone Publio, located in two peripheral areas in which it is necessary to preserve and protect not only a single school complex, but the very presence of a fixed and stable management:
“Because in those difficult suburbs the school, with all its human resources – explains Sospiri – represents a safeguard of legality and welcome, an indispensable sentinel. There is scope for intervention – continues Sospiri – and I am sure that I understand the sensitivity of Councilor Santangelo, so that a more in-depth reflection can be started and the right terms can be found to avoid what could represent enormous damage for our children .”
