“Where is this mayor, why isn’t he here?”.
Iva Zanicchion the stage of the Arena dello Strait ‘Ciccio Frank‘, on the occasion of the concert of the Workers Day on the banks of the Strait, it stings the mayor of Reggio Calabria. With her usual irony, the well-known singer and television presenter, addressing the vice mayor of the Metro City Carmelo Versace disputes the absence of Giuseppe Falcomatà:
“Is it true or not? It had to be here!”. Then follows some booing among the audience and the justification of Versace:
“The mayor apologizes but is not present due to a family impediment”. Iva Zanicchi he interrupts him and addressing the audience he ironically says:
“But sorry, but if on the first of every month he… with his wife… he couldn’t leave it out. He does one a month, let’s let him do it…”.
The curtain ends with applause and some laughter. Finally, we immediately return to seriousness with the greeting from the vice mayor who recalls the meaning of May 1st:
“It was a wonderful evening. Thanks to this wonderful audience and to Reggio Calabria who responded great. Let’s dedicate this May 1st to the many workers who are no longer here. On this particular day we wanted to give a smile to the people of Reggio and the many tourists.”
