The 36th day of B seriesplayed in full on Labor Day, saw Parma arithmetically promoted to on the front page Series TO, three years after the last time. A small point against Bari, currently relegated, was enough for the Emilians. Como won by two to one and moreover with a comeback, against a Cittadella team which was increasingly in a crisis of results in the second half of the season; success also for Cremonese, thanks to two set balls, against Aquilani’s Pisa.
Among the “big” teams, the only defeat was by Venezia, who fell at the last minute on the wet turf of Catanzaro by three goals to two: Idzes’ brace was of no use, equalized by Iemmello, not before Pontisso’s opening goal. In the areas playoffssubordinate result: Palermo lost narrowly to La Spezia, whose victory allows the La Spezia team to exit the zone playoffs at the moment; one to zero for Sampdoria on the already relegated Lecco field, and equal (two to two) for Brescia on the Feralpisalò field.
In the central part of the table, however, numerous duels: in the Emilian derby Modena got the worst of Alessandro Nesta’s amaranths, while Cosenza and Sudtirol condemn, respectively, Ascoli and Ternana – both defeated – to remain in the playout zone, like Spezia, now save on goal difference and head-to-head matches. Harmful defeats also for Cittadella and Pisa, both with the same score, three points away from the chase for the playoffs.
