L’AQUILA – An absolute novelty, a scientific dissemination project that totally breaks the mold and invents new languages… this was deserved by Abruzzo, one of the Italian regions with the greatest floristic biodiversity in Italy and the Mediterranean.
Thus was born, as part of the Impertinent Free Dissemination project “Daniela Tinti & the Flowers” the musical album “L’Estinzione e altri grandi (un)successi” which contains 9 parodies of famous Italian music songs written and performed by Daniela Tinti (botanist and popularizer) with vocal contributions by Valerio Gatto Bonanni, Margherita and Antonio Di Croce and an original song with lyrics by Thierry Cocciolone, music and voice by Michele Avolio , linked by the narrative voice of Anna Narciso.
Upon the release of the album, thanks to the synergy with the Cooperativa Il Bosso, particularly committed to the promotion of territorial riches, “Easy-going excursions”, an original and eclectic program of 6 excursions to discover 6 very rare and endangered plants that we are all required to know, love and protect. For each excursion, a take-away basket is also offered, each time provided by a different restaurant.
The guides of the Cooperativa Il Bosso, following pleasant paths, will lead you to the places where these species fearlessly resist the sixth mass extinction. You will get to know them through the unmissable ones “semi-serious lessons” in botany by Daniela Tinti. The opportunity will be perfect to sing together the parodies of songs well known to all and become co-protagonists of their video clips.
Any examples? Desperate Adonis (to the tune of Amore Desperate) to celebrate, on May 4th in Castelvecchio Calvisio, the very famous Adonis vernalis… or When that flower is born (from When a love is born) dedicated to Centaurea scannensis which in the whole world lives only in the Sagittarius Gorges, where we will go on June 9th… and again Sei Raressima (from Sei beautiful) which talks about the Ginestra aquilana, sadly known for having risked becoming extinct due to the arson of 2020 on the mountains of Arischia, the only place in the world where it grows, which we will reach by pedaling by E-bike on May 12th.
This first calendar aims to be the beginning of a journey of trekking excursions and experiences in nature on which the Tour Operator Il Bosso, specialized in experiential tourism and environmental education for 25 years, will insist and strengthen together with the botanist Daniela Tinti.
