Confindustria Lecce organizes an event on agri-food on May 3rd

LECCE Much of the agri-food sector has for several years only had access to Rural Development funds (PSR). With the fruitful dialogue of the companies involved and, in particular of the Agro-Food Section of Confindustria, the Puglia Region, starting from the 2021-2027 Programming, has also guaranteed access to ERDF funds to companies processing and marketing agricultural products FES+. This is an extraordinarily positive result for the sector, as part of the resources of the European structural funds of the ongoing programming will also be allocated to supporting research, development, innovation and the internationalization of small and medium-sized processing companies agri-food sector belonging to the following sectors: production of wines from grapes, production of vegetable oils and fats, processing and preservation of meat and production of meat-based products, dairy industry, grain processing, production of starches and starchy products, production of other food products.

In order to explore the opportunities linked to this new Programming, Confindustria Lecce organizes at its headquarters, in Via Fornari n. 12, an event reserved for the Agri-food sector of the province of Lecce Friday, May 3, 2024 – 4.30 pm.

After greetings from the president of Confindustria Lecce Valentino Nicolì and the introduction of the president of the Food Industries Section Cesare Spinellithey will intervene Maurizio Zecca, member of the Agri-food Technical Group of Confindustria Puglia e Antonio De Vito, director of Puglia Sviluppo. It will conclude Alessandro Delli NociCouncilor for Economic Development of the Puglia Region.

“It is with great satisfaction that we have seen the Puglia Region extend access to ERDF and FES+ funds also to companies processing and marketing agricultural products – states the president Nicoli. This result, the result of a fruitful dialogue between the companies involved and Confindustria, constitutes a significant step for the competitiveness and growth of the agri-food sector of our province”.

“The decision to allocate part of the resources of the European structural funds also to the agri-food processing sector – says the president of the Section Spinelli – is fundamental for our sector. Thanks to this new programming, companies processing and marketing agricultural products will have greater opportunities for growth and development. We are certain that this important tool will accompany the consolidation of our agri-food supply chains ready to best grasp the challenges and opportunities that will arise in the near future”.
