04.30.2024 – 4.40 pm – The section of the road remains closed A4 between San Donà and Cessalto towards Trieste due to an accident which occurred in Noventa shortly after 10am in which they were involved two heavy vehicles, with two people injured. Autostrade Alto Adriatico personnel, together with the firefighters and mechanical emergency vehicles, are completing the operations to remove the vehicles, while those concerning the two accidents which occurred around 8am in the stretch between Cessalto and San Stino.

At around 1pm a new accident – still in the direction of Trieste – occurred near Meolo in the three-lane section at kilometer 420. A heavy vehicle did not notice the queue – pre-signaled by the variable message signs – originating from the Noventa accident and skidded while braking on one side, losing the load of marble slabs which ended up partly on the road surface and partly on an empty car transporter. No consequences for the two drivers. Heavy vehicles occupy the driving and overtaking lane. For those coming from Venice it is possible to proceed using the fastest lane. he motorway concessionaire has activated the virtual redirection (recommended route) of the A27/A28 both for those coming from Venice and for those coming from Trieste.

The removal operations of the two heavy vehicles involved in an accident on the A4 motorway towards Trieste at kilometer 420 in the three-lane stretch between Meolo and San Donà di Piave are being completed. Autostrade Alto Adriatico staff has cleared in the meantime, the roadway was covered in material (marble slabs) lost by the articulated lorry that hit the car transporter. The vehicles, coming from Venice, still proceed on the fastest lane as the other two are still occupied by the two vehicles and continue the recommended rerouting on the A27/A28 bypass. There are queues from Venice East to San Donà di Piave towards Trieste.

However, from around 2.30pm the section between San Donà and Cessalto was reopened (still in the direction of Trieste) and the entrance to the San Donà junction, previously closed due to the accident which occurred at around 10am, was reopened.

Finally, it should be noted that shortly before 4.00 pm another accident occurred at kilometer 445 in the stretch between San Stino and the Portogruaro hub, again in the direction of Trieste. Two heavy vehicles were involved. One person was not seriously injured. At the point of the accident the travel lane was closed and traffic flowed on the overtaking lane.
