Competition University of Padua 2024: 2 different notices have been published, reserved exclusively for candidates belonging to the protected categories referred to in article 1 of Law no. 68/1999. This is a total of 26 permanent positionsdivided as follows:

  • 8 seats of category C, economic position C1, library areacode 2024N26;
  • 18 seats of category C, economic position C1, administrative areacode 2024N25.

In the next paragraphs, let’s see who the members of the protected categories are, all the other requirements required for participation and how to prepare for the tests.

Law 68/1999 regulates the rules on the placement of people with disabilities. They fall into the so-called protected categories pursuant toarticle 1 of the aforementioned law:

  • people of working age suffering from physical, mental or sensory impairments and those with intellectual disabilities, which entail a reduction in working capacity exceeding 45%;
  • work-disabled people with a degree of disability greater than 33%;
  • blind or deaf-mute people;
  • war disabled people, civilian war disabled people and service disabled people.

Just belonging to the categories it is not enough. In order to participate in competitions for protected categories, it is necessary to be registered on the lists referred to in article 8 of law 68/99, or job placement lists. People belonging to protected categories who intend to register on the aforementioned lists must go to the Employment center under the jurisdiction of your municipality of residence. How to be included in protected categories?

The requirements to participate in the selection, common to both calls, are the following:

  • Diploma of upper secondary education;
  • belonging to one of the categories referred to in the art. 1 of Law no. 68/1999;
  • registration in the compulsory placement list, pursuant to art. 8 of Law no. 68/1999, provided for eligible persons who are unemployed and aspire to employment in line with their working abilities;
  • age no younger than 18;
  • Italian citizenship (Italians not belonging to the Republic are treated as Italian citizens) or citizenship of a member state of the European Union. Family members of citizens of European Union member states who do not have the citizenship of a member state who hold the right of residence or the right of permanent residence and citizens of third countries who hold an EU residence permit will also be eligible for selection. for long-term residents or who hold refugee status or subsidiary protection status;
  • enjoyment of political rights;
  • physical suitability to carry out the activity required by the professional profile, compatibly with one’s working abilities.

The application for participation must be sent exclusively electronically via Cineca’s PICA portal. Just click here and select the call you are interested in among librarians and administrators. It is possible to participate in both calls. It will be possible to log in via SPID or with an email address. a Certified Email address (PEC) or a digital domicile must also be indicated in the application.

It will be possible to apply until 2.00 pm on May 29, 2024. To participate in each selection, the payment of a fee is also required competition fee of 10 eurosto be carried out by following the instructions present during the submission of applications.

University of Padua Competition 2024, 26 places: tests

For both calls the selection will be divided into:

  • A written test;
  • An oral test.

There written test will consist of a series of multiple choice questions on the exam subjects.

There oral exam it will consist of a technical interview on some exam topics, followed by a motivational interview, useful for outlining the profile of each candidate, in order to better place them.

The tests are considered passed with a grade of at least 21/30 in each of them. From June 5, 2024 the calendar and locations of the exams will be announced.

The following table summarizes the exam topics for each test and for each profile:

Library services and contents;
Open Access issues;
Elements of legislation concerning Public Administration, with particular reference to legislation of specific interest for library services;
Legislative and regulatory aspects concerning the University Library System.
30 multiple choice questions divided into:
– 12 questions on the main elements of university legislation (Law no. 240/2010), mainly but not exclusively focused on the functioning of the collegial and monocratic bodies of the Universities;
– 10 questions on the main elements of administrative law, with reference to Law no. 241/1990 and subsequent amendments and administrative documents;
– 5 questions relating to knowledge of the English language (reference level B1);
– 3 questions relating to computer knowledge (office package, internet and e-mail).
Oral exam Service automation systems;
Technologies and methodologies for the integration of information in the library sector;
Main interoperability protocols and standards;
Use of the main IT applications relating to the position sought, with particular reference to software for managing bibliographies and data repositories.
Knowledge of the English language (B1 level).
2 questions about:
– elements of university legislation (Law no. 240/2010);
– knowledge of the regulatory principles regarding transparency, anti-corruption and privacy.
