Our architectural, historical and cultural heritage of the city is at the center of an intense redevelopment and restoration activity by the Municipal Administration of Barletta. In particular, Palazzo Della Marra, the Castle, the “G.” theater will be affected. Curci”, Palazzo Bonelli and the former convent of S. Andrea.

The restoration and conservative rehabilitation of Della Marra Palace in recent days they received the green light from the Council which approved the Design Guideline Document (DIP) for the entire building and the approval of the first functional lot, south side elevation (V.Cialdini) and atrium. The state of conservation of the decorative sculptural apparatus of the building is currently affected by degradation phenomena, particularly in the areas of the southern and northern facades most exposed to smog and atmospheric agents.

The restoration works will be divided into four lots (one for each side of the building) and will involve a total cost of €1,220,000. The first lot will concern the south side elevation (via Cialdini) and the atrium.

The works that will concern the Castle with the renovation and relative expansion of the existing bathrooms in the parade ground and the rehabilitation of the vents in the basement.

Furthermore, cleaning and removal of surface deposits from the entire façade of the building are being planned G. Curci theatre, including porch and gallery entrance. The project is already under the attention of the Superintendence from which approval is awaited.

The objective is to restore the original aesthetically ordered and harmonious overall appearance of the Curci Theater.

These interventions will be followed by the restoration work of the entire building Palazzo Bonelli for which the executive project is already ready, in the verification phase, and the restructuring of theFormer Convent of S. Andrea for which the European tender has already started.
