The incessantand territorial protection activities carried out by the Carabinieri of Trento, also through the “task force” put in place to combat the most alarming episodes of “street” crime between Piazza Portella, via Pozzo, Santa Maria Maggiore and neighboring “hot” areas, it allowed us to achieve another result.
This time, in fact, the soldiers of the Operational Section of the capitalduring one of the daily plainclothes services, have a 30-year-old Nigerian citizen, convicted felon, arrested as he was responsible for drug dealing in Piazza Leonardo da Vinci.
In particular, the man was observed while he was approached by a woman resident in the Province to whom, behind the payment of around 20 euros, he gave a dose of almost half a gram of cocaine.

At this point, the military intervened and blocked the two: the woman, on the occasion, was reported to the Government Commissariat for the detention of the narcotic for personal use, while the man, caught red-handed in the drug dealing activity, was taken under arrest to the Carabinieri offices in via Barbacovi, where he was subsequently confined for the weekend in the security rooms of the barracks awaiting the very direct ritual which will take place this morning at the Court of Trento.
Furthermore, the Trento force has been operating in a constant and incisive manner for months now “Torre Vanga” neighborhooddemonstrating the seriousness of the commitment made with the population after what happened in the last days of 2023.
Since the beginning of the year, in fact, there are now chundreds of people checked and dozens of people reported or arrested for crimes committed in the area, especially related to drugs: the last one not even five days ago, when a Tunisian citizen was stopped who, right in Piazza Portela, was hiding numerous doses of cocaine in his mouth. The man is still in prison today in Spini di Gardolo.
