In this operational context, precisely while walking along the avenues of the municipal garden, the attention of the carabinieri of the Piazza Verga station, assisted on this occasion by their colleagues “on horseback”, was attracted by the a woman’s request for help who, agitated, was looking for someone who could help her interrupt one violent quarrel between his 56-year-old partner and a stranger, later identified by the police for the 21 years old paternese.

The story
Once calm was restored, the carabinieri then began to reconstruct the contours of the storyascertaining that the basis of the dispute, which then moved on to the “factual matters”, was there futile reasons, misunderstandings, resulting in a request for money made by a beggarfirst to the couple and then to the 21-year-old.
The latter, thinking that the homeless man had turned to him on the indication of the 56-year-old, angry at the alleged “buck-passing”, physically attacked him.
Having clarified in this way how the facts had gone, the crews then realized that precisely the 21 years oldafter the argument, he had started to nosebleedswhich is why the intervention of the 118 health workers was requested.
This operation, which should have reassured the boy, made him even more nervous, an attitude that immediately made the police suspicious, who thus decided to deepen checks on the young person.
