Victory not without bitterness for Piacenza, who beat Real Calepina 3-0 in the last home match of the season, but did not find the top of the table. In fact, Caldiero Terme overcame Virtus Ciserano at the last gasp (3-2), after having been tied twice for a draw, even a few minutes from the end. Final verdict on the championship victory postponed to Sunday 5 May, when the red and whites will face Varesina away and Caldiero will challenge Villa Valle.
The goals from Ndoye in the first half and from Bassanini and Recino (penalty) from the bench in the second half are little consolation for Piace who kept the challenge open for a long time, before closing it with quality play from their key men.
