In the rain of Gallarate, Federico Pisani and Debora Spalenza win the Life Run Ten
Great success for the second edition of Life Run, the great wellness festival set up over the long weekend in Gallarate (VA), which from this year included among the many events within it also a running race, the Life Run Ten included in the calendar national Fidal and in the Pied d’Oro circuit. The participation, despite the terrible weather conditions with rain falling throughout the race, was massive for all the initiatives set up between Saturday and Sunday and also for the race, designed through a 5 km city circuit to be repeated twice times with a height difference of just 27 meters for each lap.
The winner was Federico Pisani (Team Attivasalute) who prevailed by 20” over Giacomo Meda in 33’42”. Fabio Stefano Palmieri (Tapascione Running) is much further behind at 1’44”. Off the podium were Silvio Stella (Us Sangiorgese) at 2’33” and Luca Alessandro Gianotti (Ondaverde Athletic Team) at 3’12”. Among the women, first position for Debora Spalenza (Gs Orecchiella), very good at finishing eighth overall in 37’54”, with 7’50” on Alessia Mercuri (Atl.Andromeda) and 10’36” on Sara Bestetti (Tapascione Running).
In the Pied d’Oro circuit, the men who dominated the ranking were Simone Marcolli, Lorenzo Ferraro, Fernando Coltro, Giuseppe Bollini and Simone Carlo Prina. Among the women, Marta Dani led the group followed by Paola Turriziani, Sofia Barbetta, Sabrina Gussoni and Christelle Campi.
Having been stronger even than the adverse climatic conditions represents a great result for the organizers, confirming that having invested in this initiative, inserting a running competition at the highest level in a context dedicated to physical well-being through sport was the right choice . The aim is to make it a fixed event in the Lombardy calendar and beyond, attracting more and more people to Gallarate for an event dedicated to themselves and their health.
