A penalty scored by Totò Mincica in the 33rd minute of the second half gives Città di Sant’Agata success against Ragusa and three very important points to continue dreaming of qualification for the playoffs which for the white and blues will be decided on the last day, Sunday on the pitch leaders Trapani.

The last of the blue and whites at the “Fresina” was a real final between two teams competing for fifth place who only needed success to continue their hope. The first half was balanced and all things considered blocked, with Ragusa filling the game well and Sant’Agata not finding any great geometry. A couple of noteworthy points in front of goal on both sides but basically a draw after the first 45 minutes.

In the second half the two teams release the handbrake, the tension grows and the match becomes a real sword fight in which Sant’Agata takes advantage of the great defensive naivety in the 33rd minute with Manservigi and Mbaye who give away the kick penalty converted under the cross by Mincica.

A victory that brings Sant’Agata back to fifth place in the standings at 52, with Ragusa stuck at 50 out of contention because they will rest on the last day. Qualification for the playoff rounds where Siracusa is already waiting will therefore be decided entirely in the last 90′ with Sant’Agata looking to match the undefeated league leaders Trapani and the Real Casalnuovo – Acireale pair, tied on 51 points , who will have to deal with Siracusa and Sancataldese respectively.
