Parma, great success of Interno verde: more than 3,000 visitors

“A weekend dedicated to beauty – says the organizers’ press release – kept behind the doors and doors of the buildings. Interno Verde in Parma welcomed more than 3 thousand visitors on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 May, confirming the success of the previous editions and further expanding its audience. Never before has the festival, which exceptionally allows you to discover the most evocative secret gardens of the historic centre, seen such a significant participation of tourists from other regions”.

“At the center of the curiosity of many visitors – continues the press release – is the data visualization workshop conducted by the designers of Studio Nilo at the Cloister of San Paolo, where the infopoint was set up. Under the porticoes students and young professionals from the world of graphics and scientific research have mixed knowledge and skills to translate a series of studies relating to sustainable mobility in the province into clear and effective images”.

“The contemporary dance performances of Aterbaletto and Artemis Danza at Palazzo Marchi were sold out – concludes the press release – as was the original setup created by Gallani Arredamenti to make Palazzo Mauri even more fascinating. Great enthusiasm also for the initiatives proposed by the Fruttorti association to enhance the Picasso Food Forest and the walk along the stream curated by the Ducato Parks together with the University, to learn how to identify native and non-native river plants. Finally, many tourists and citizens took advantage of the special gastronomic proposals created by the Parma Alimentare consortium and Parma Quality Restaurants to celebrate the flavors and aromas of spring.”

«Interno Verde is a festival of the city, for the city», explain the organizers of Interno Verde, Licia Vignotto and Riccardo Gemmo. «But we are obviously happy that it is also appreciated by those who live elsewhere, and we would like this achievement to be a stimulus, an invitation to reflection. To what extent do we know Parma’s extraordinary potential? What development opportunities does it offer us? Green is a complex system, it intersects the environment, culture and tourism. In the near future we would like to explore this theme, involving public and private actors.”
