The financiers of the GICO of the Economic-Financial Police Unit of L’Aquila, under the direction of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Teramo, have executed a precautionary custody order in prison against a person under investigation for the crime of illegal manufacturing of firearms, issued by the Judge for Preliminary Investigations at the Court of Teramo. The service activity comes at the end of complex judicial police investigations, which lasted a few months, which made it possible to subject seizure of 9 “clandestine” firearmsvarious ammunition as well as to identify the laboratory used by the arrested person and seize the relevant equipment.
The activity conducted by the Fiamme Gialle dell’Aquila, carried out with the aid, in the final phase, of personnel from the Carabinieri of Giulianova, saw the use of multiple investigative techniques and tools as well as search activities and observation, which allowed us to identify and reconstruct the illicit activities perpetrated by the recipient of the order.
It should be noted that the criminal proceedings are still in the preliminary investigation phase and that criminal responsibilities will be definitively ascertained only if an irrevocable sentence of conviction occurs.
