LIVORNO – Another interesting opportunity to personally meet artists of a certain caliber at Studio Elisi (via Verdi). For the entire day yesterday, April 27, the large and loyal public who frequent it, thanks to over three years of varied proposals, were given the opportunity to appreciate works belonging to a new exhibition entitled “Biography, site specific installation”.

Hero Tatiana Villani (present in the gallery for the whole day), artist and performer who has been working in the field ofResearch Contemporary Art.

His work tends to delve into life along paths that are anything but easy. He addresses issues such as hybridizations and crossbreeding, migrations and adaptations. Create grafts between natural and artificial and carries out tree dissemination in ecologically significant but fragile areas. Its purpose is to take the viewer by the hand and lead them in disturbing places of our feelings, in spaces of the repressed. By adopting different practices and mediums, Villani works with what Bio experiences and builds relationships between aspects that we often don’t pay attention to. Aspects that we tend to neglect because we are attracted by more powerful distractors. Migrations, hybridizations and adaptations of the plant world are part of reality in the Artist’s world like human ones.

Tatiana Villani uses various media (painting, photography, installation, video) to deal with issues inherent to the socio-political condition of man and his relationship with the environment. His activity ranges from visual arts to theatre, to art therapy applied to various social areas.

Recent years have seen the artist engaged and involved in numerous projects, including: Sowingseeds artistic residency, at Kamanartfoundation (Jodhpur, India, 2012-13), where she created the performance Sewing or sowing; participation in the PNEUMAticcircUS project, curated by Vittore Baroni, within the Transmediale festival, HausderkulturenderWelt, (Berlin 2013); participation as a performer in the Parade through Macao, Latin City (Macao, China 2013); participation in the Vancouver Biennial (2014/2016) with the project “I have a dream”.

Some solo exhibitions have been dedicated to his work, such as Metaproject at the Hallway-galleryLiberSPACE in Zagreb and the double solo exhibition curated by Gaia Querci at the Paola Raffo Arte Contemporanea gallery in Pietrasanta; she participated in Jungle domestic curated by Irene Panzani, Botanical Garden, Lucca (2021); you participated in the Çanakkale Biennial, How do we work together, Türkiye (2022); she participated in the Biennial of Textile Art, Slow Down, Izmir, Türkiye and the Mediterranean Biennial.
