The enchantment of a packed square, almost two hours of pure poetry, with the concert of the Milanese band “Le Vibrazioni” which literally bewitched Acireale. Last night, the band performed the most famous and loved songs by the public but also the most recent songs, equally appreciated and sung by the public. And while waiting for the third musical event, this evening with Sicily Folk Orchestra Mario Venuti and Kabal-là, the flower-decorated cars are preparing to parade along the streets of the center for the last performance, before the award ceremony of the 6 floats in the competition, at 11pm in Piazza Duomo. There are a few days left until the end of the 2024 edition of the “Flower Festival” but there is still time to visit the flower and craft markets in via Cavour, via Ruggero Settimo and via Alessi. Already this morning, jugglers and street artists have “tickled” the smiles of adults and children along the streets of the historic center a few steps from the “Historic Fiat 500” gathering decorated with flowers organized by “Amici del Lacson”.
Starting from 5pm today, Sunday 28 April, it will be possible to attend the Misterbianco Carnival parade: “The most beautiful costumes in Sicily” and then the parade of flowered floats with musical bands, majorettes, flag-wavers, themed masked groups. At 6pm another show with the Opera dei Pupi in Piazza Alfio Grassi, while in Piazza Lionardo Vigo the second appointment of “Guided tastings” and tasting stands will take place organized by AIS Catania. Furthermore, until 8.00 pm, appointment with the itineraries of art and faith in the churches of the historic center with “Via Pulchiritudinis” until 8.00 pm organized by the Cento Campanili association without forgetting the possibility of visiting the floats in miniature on display at the Maugeri theater and then again the Carnival, historical uniforms and Sicilian Puppet museums. At 9.30pm Sicily Folk Orchestra with Mario Venuti and Kaballà and at 11.00pm awards ceremony for the 6 floats in the competition. Awards ceremony that will decide the winner of this edition of the “Flower Festival”. Tuesday 30 April, more music in Piazza Duomo with “Barocco Spring Festival” by Carnival Beat and the DJs from Mars, Cacciola and Kenzo. on May 1st the grand finale with the “Concertone”, 12 hours of music with the extraordinary participation of Bandabardò&Cisco, Brigantini and Lautari.
