GE, a 33-year-old man resident in Ercolano, arrested by the authorities for the crimes of possession and dealing of narcotic substances. Despite his attempt to dispose of the drugs by flushing them down the toilet, he was arrested after officers searched his home, discovering 24 doses of crack. Furthermore, another 5 grams of the same substance were seized, hidden in a box. During the search, material that could be used to package drugs was also found.
The authorities also carried out street checks, identifying 52 people and checking 26 vehicles. During these checks, a total of 10 grams of hashish were seized and found in the pockets of several individuals, who will be reported to the Prefecture as drug users.
But the investigative activities did not stop there: two entrepreneurs were reported for issues relating to food safety. One was reported for having insufficiently controlled food in a bar located in via Panoramica, while the other received a complaint for serious hygienic-sanitary deficiencies found in the kitchen of a hotel in Corso Resina.
Thanks to the contribution of the Nas of Naples, checks were carried out on various commercial establishments in Herculaneum. In particular, the owner of a bar in via Panoramica is sanctioned for the incorrect implementation of food self-control procedures. The legal representative of a hotel in Corso Resina is fined for administrative violations relating to the lack of traceability of food products. Furthermore, 30 kilos of food were seized. For the latter, the authorities also found serious structural and hygienic deficiencies in the kitchen premises, leading to the suspension of the catering activity.
