Casoria, the Mayor ready to launch measures against wild nightlife

Baby gang and nightlife, Bene ready to launch new measures after commitment from the Carabinieri: “Closed areas and limited activities, but reinforcements are necessary”

CASORIA. Closure of roads to traffic, limitation of activities and further reinforcements for the police. The municipal administration of Raffaele Bene moves along these three paths after the latest episodes of youth violence recorded in the Casoria area.

On Saturday the mayor interfaced with the local leaders of the Carabinieri and already in the night between Saturday and Sunday several checks were carried out with important results between Casoria and the neighboring municipalities. However, the small number of units available requires the arrival of further reinforcements already requested from the Prefect.

“The Carabinieri make their utmost effort to control such a complex territory, but it is clear that more units are needed to be able to impact the emergencies of the North area of Naples: the issue cannot be limited to a single territory. For this reason I requested the expansion of the table on safety in the Prefecture to all the mayors of the area” explained Raffaele Bene.

For its part, the municipal administration of Casoria will already launch an ad hoc device in the next few hours to regulate nightlife and stem the phenomenon of juvenile delinquency. “We cannot allow gangs of young people to hold slices of territory in check and cause disturbance or damage to citizens. We are evaluating the closure of some areas and the limitation of activities to stem the phenomenon while waiting for the arrival of new resources on the streets” concludes Bene.
