Fourth consecutive defeat for Fontana’s Latina, at Francioni, with Taranto winning 2-1. A less bitter defeat because the Pontini team reached the Play Offs, placing themselves in 10th place thanks to Casertana’s victory over Sorrento. Taranto dominates the first half and scores two goals with Zonta and Simeri. In the second half the Pontini woke up and Mastroianni scored but it wasn’t enough. the Apulians finally managed to bring home the three points. Now Latina will have to wait for the response to the appeal presented by Taranto to find out which team they will face in the playoff. In fact, if the appeal is not rejected we will have to play against Casertana. It will still be tough because whoever loses immediately goes home. It was a championship of lights and shadows, with the dismissal of Di Donato and the arrival of Fontana, which served, if nothing else, to recover points. But in the last month there has been a psychological and physical collapse of the entire team who have suffered 4 consecutive reverses. The Play offs, of course, will be another film, but it will still be a difficult undertaking.
